As you can imagine it is not the easiest thing to put a
beloved mum into an EMI home. We all had so many good times with
her. A big thank you for looking after her so well.

Located in Strood this home provides comfortable and homely accommodation. The home primarily provides specialist dementia care. The spacious living accommodation includes various lounges and quiet seating areas. Residents and staff will relocate in 2010 to the new Churchlands building in Chatham which is currently under redevelopment and will provide 112 spacious ensuite bedrooms, a café, shop and beauty salon.

How to find us: Shawswood is situated on the outskirts of Strood, minutes from the A289. From the A289, exit the slip road sign posted for Wainscott and bear right. At the round about take the first exit and then at the next roundabout turn right onto Cooling Road. Continue along Cooling Road onto Bill Street Road. From Bill Street Road, turn right into Prospect Avenue and then right onto Mill Road where Shawswood is situated.
