Community Support Service
Our Care at Home service provides domiciliary care and support in the South East to adults with disabilities and older people and assist them so they can remain living independently in their own home environment.
People wishing to remain at home may have high dependency needs and require domiciliary care services for many different reasons, from illness to simply finding some tasks too difficult to deal with. We seek, at all times, to offer domiciliary care services that maintain your dignity, right of choice and independence.
Our services are flexible, affordable and accessible. The benefits are two fold.
- It helps elderly people with difficult tasks, but wish to continue to live in their own home with a little support. For example, washing, ironing, ordering groceries.
- For relatives it releases time spent and energy caring for their loved one. As a result of this their relationship becomes stronger as the work eases.
- If they have suffered a stroke we are able to assist with daily tasks or take care of them for you
- If they suffer from diabetes or epilepsy and live on their own they may feel safer if there is someone else in the house whilst taking a bath
- If they find domestic jobs are too tiring, we can assist with this or may be to do your shopping, washing/ironing, cleaning or cook for you
- If they find it difficult to deal with your correspondence, including bills and budgeting, we would be able to help you sort out important documents from other mail and help you to prioritise payments
If they are a carer for someone else, we would be able to take the responsibility for a few hours while you take some time for yourselfIf you need to travel to appointments and would benefit from guidance and support to do this
We also have a Supported Living service which delivers care services to over 480 older people living in 15 Bexley sheltered housing schemes. Within the supported sheltered housing schemes, the high quality personal support we provide enables people to have choices and live as independently as possible within the community. This support may include help with accessing benefits and other health and social services, acting as an advocate to resolve problems with other agencies, and daily calls to residents to ensure that everyone is well.
