New Outlooks
New Outlooks staff offers support to people with a learning disability or those with mental health issues
Our well-trained and committed staff can help people with learning disabilities or other mental health issues to live successfully in their own home and to maximise their independence and participation in community life through training, employment and social activities.
Our 'Floating Support' Service Keyworkers also work with individuals with learning disabilities attending Day Centres in. Activities include music and movement, arts and crafts, trips to places of interest and weekly swimming and bowling groups.
New Outlooks is a well-established service with a reputation for providing responsive and flexible support services tailored to meet the needs of individuals.
New Outlooks can offer the following support:
- Developing skills for daily living such as budgeting to prioritise payments and assistance with correspondence
- One-to-one suport to attend a Day Centre due to problems with behavioural or physical issues
- Help to negotiate and maintain tenancy agreements and any housing related issues
- Assistance to access other services available in the local community such as swimming, library, college courses, travel, training and any other social activities as may be required
- One-to-one support to access day trips, short breaks or holidays in this country or abroad, giving much needed respite to all involved
- Support to maintain household tasks through one-to-one tuition to achieve the necessary knowledge and skill base
