On October 30th, staff, service users and families across Avante Partnership and its operating entities Avante Care and Support and Stepahead Support went pink, in support of Breast Cancer Campaign's 'Wear it Pink' day!
Wearing more pink than was good for the eyes, staff service users and residents organised and took part in a series of fundraising events including pink Halloween parties, pink coffee mornings, pink lunches and pink nail varnishing sessions. Several pink raffles took place in residential homes, offices, young people's services and supported living schemes!
On a day of laughter and fun across the organisation, a total of £2557.00 was raised for the Breast Cancer Campaign.
Louise Ward, from Avante Partnership's Finance Department coordinated the day's events, including a pink lunch and raffle at the organisation's head office in Faversham. Louise commented 'we’ve had a fantastic day right across the organisation. People really got into the spirit of the day and the money we’ve raised will go to a worthy cause’.
